THE RADIO 4 PANEL SHOW THAT RADIO 4 DON’T WANT.

WE ASSUME. I MEAN, WE’VE NEVER ASKED. WE’RE A BIT SCARED TO, TO BE HONEST.

IT’D BE LIKE MEETING YOUR HIGH SCHOOL CRUSH WHEN YOU’RE OUT SHOPPING. AND YOU’VE GOT ALL PASTY CRUMBS DOWN YOUR FRONT FROM GREGGS BUT THEY STILL LOOK AWESOME.

A comedy panel show in the grand tradition of shows like QI, The Unbelievable Truth and I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue, IEE has run as a fantastically stupid podcast for two years before taking to the live stage at Fringes and comedy festivals across the UK.

Over a series of silly rounds, three guest comics interview for a job at the UK's newest, and  worst, public service broadcaster, aiming to Inform, Educate or Entertain the audience to score points. They'll act out hastily-written afternoon plays, give educational presentations and wrestle with such soul-searching questions as "when did you last see a horse", "what do you think about individual Battenbergs" and "who's the tallest person you know?".

Hosted by a man raised on a diet of Afternoon Plays and Desert Island Discs and so steeped in love for Radio 4 that his pulse plays out the theme from the Archers, the show is 50% love letter to our national broadcaster, 45% examination of its flaws and 5% swear words which they’d never get away with broadcasting.
